Functions of Human Resource Director

The Human Resource Director manages and prepares the budget for the City Clerk’s office and pay plan for city employees. The office is also responsible for the following areas:

  • Administering city health insurance City Benefit Planand workers compensation insurance
  • Performing payroll functions for city employees
  • Developing personnel policy and providing oversight
  • Recruiting and selecting future city employees
  • Developing and maintaining discipline and grievance procedures
  • Administering performance evaluations
  • Maintaining and retaining personnel records
