Administration

The City Manager is charged with the day-to-day management of municipal operations. To facilitate the provision of various public services, the City Manager is assisted by the Administration Department. The Department serves as a centralized operation that manages many "back office" functions that are typical in many businesses or organizations.

In many respects, the Administration Department does not work directly with citizens in the provision of public services. Nonetheless, the responsibilities of the Administration Department are essential to the efficient and effective provision of services to citizens.

The Administration Department is comprised of various support functions that allow other City Departments provide services to the public. The Administration Department is responsible for the following functions:

  • Records Retention;
  • Financial Management;
  • Legal Review and Advice;
  • Personnel Management; and
  • Utility Administration and Billing.
